You’ve already forked out quite a bit on the venue, photographer and catering. But you’ve recently seen your friend’s amazing film and now you’re wondering how much a wedding video would be. Well, let’s take a look.
According to the EasyWeddings 2018 survey, the average Australian couple spent $32,333 on the entire wedding. So other than perhaps buying a car and house, this will be one of the biggest purchases in your life. So it’s natural to do everything you can to find cheaper solutions if and when you can.
Of the 4,100 couples they surveyed, 49% opt to include a videographer as part of their special day. Although it varies state to state, (with NSW being the highest at $3,280) the average cost across Australia of having your wedding filmed is $2,702.

Couples are opting for videographers to make sure that they don’t miss anything important during their day. This has also resulted in couples choosing to hire their videographers for longer. A videographer can capture the feeling and atmosphere of a wedding more than what can be captured with photographs.
According to the research, couples are looking for natural videographers who make them feel like they’re not being filmed for the whole day.
